The Rock and Roll Academy® is an experiential music program that emphasizes the musical, technological and social aspects of students’ creative processes within a multimedia environment. The objectives of the RRA program are as much about team building, self-expression and social responsibility as they are about learning to play music.
The Rock and Roll Academy® was founded in 2003 by Mark Galbo and has served over 1,400 students in its in school, after school and summer programs. The RRA was awarded a National Association of Independent Schools “Best of Show” Award at the NAIS Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado in 2007. In the fall of 2008 The RRA was featured in 5280 magazine in the “Denver’s Top Schools” edition.
The Rock and Roll Academy® is poised to participate in the changing of the music education system in America. Children need an opportunity to be in authentic relationship with themselves, their peers and the world around them. The Rock and Roll Academy® offers this opportunity in an exciting, values based program. A program that is dedicated to changing the expectations our children have of what is possible for them and the world around them.
